Surrounded by the silent splendour of the Southern Alps, The Hermitage is within arms reach of the majestic Aoraki Mount Cook, New Zealand's highest peak. Ice, snow, hidden valleys, lakes and glaciers offer golden opportunities for discovery, relaxation and adventure from the ground or from the air.
Bedding configuration: The Motel Studio Units (one room) have one queen-size bed. The Motel Family Units (two room), have one queen-size bed & double fold out sofa bed in the lounge, plus a separate bedroom with either one queen or two single beds. All units provide a great level of comfort with an outside patio area, a fully equipped kitchen (including microwave, stove hobs & oven, refrigerator, tea & coffee making facilities), five Sky television channels, international direct dial telephones, private bathrooms and toiletries. All units have mountain views. Motel guests are able to use all hotel facilities. A complimentary shuttle service runs on demand from the motels to The Hermitage 24 hours a day.
The Alpine Restaurant offers sumptuous buffets, accompanied with spectacular views of Aoraki Mount Cook from every seat.

BREAKFAST:
The Breakfast Buffet offers a full cooked breakfast, with a selection of pastries, breads, cereals, fresh fruit juices, tea and coffee.
LUNCH:
A Three Course table d` Hote Lunch is available daily.
DINNER:
The Dinner Buffet offers a wide range of fare including soup, salads, seafood, hot and cold meats and desserts with tea and coffee to follow.
Dinner from May to September – on quiet nights the buffet may be replaced by an A La Carte or TDH menu - please ask when making your reservation.
Buffet Dinner & Cooked breakfasts are included in some room packages.
The Panorama Restaurant
Open from 6pm all year round, meals are often accompanied by stunning views of the sun setting over the Mountains. This award-winning restaurant offers a menu featuring New Zealand's finest seafood and game.
The Snowline Bar
Ideal for a pre-dinner drink, the Snowline Bar provides some of the most spectacular views of Aoraki Mount Cook, and an enticing log fire.

Located upstairs in the Hermitage building, the Coffee Shop is the ideal place to stop for your favourite coffee, with a spectacular terrace and unbelievable views.

Perfect for a drink in relaxed surroundings, sit back and enjoy an authentic New Zealand pub meal. The big screen TV brings alive major sporting events or guests can enjoy a game of pool with the locals.
