Away from the main visitor hub and the sulphur fumes we are an ideal base for those wanting to explore the Bay of Plenty and experience Rotorua, the spiritual home of New Zealand's Maori culture and world renowned geothermal wonders, or for those that simply want to relax and refresh.
All 12 en-suite rooms are individually decorated and offer lake and rural views along with a high standard of comfort. The estate offers an intimate fine dining a la carte restaurant available for resident guests and casual dinners. Lodge chef's never fail to delight diners with our classic fresh country cuisine.
Quality is assured with our beef and lamb dishes having been awarded the highest culinary standard – the Hallmark of Excellence Award in both in 2006 & 2007. Seasonal menus are created offering a balanced mix of dishes with something for everyone. Fresh local produce is complimented with lodge make sauces and seasonal greens and herbs from the kitchen garden.
The lodge is fully licensed and meals are complemented with a select range of New Zealand wines and a well stocked bar. Before or after dinner the bar and billiards room provides the perfect place to gather and socialise.
